Ep. 24: How To Create The Right Habits To Help Your Business Grow (Part 2)
with Trudy Rankin

Interviews, strategy and advice for building your online business with your host Trudy Rankin.

Last week Trudy started this two part series by introducing three important habits you need to make sure your business is around for years and not months

In today’s Podcast Trudy talks about two more important habits you need to develop to make your business last. These include looking at the bigger picture for your business and creating habits focused on protecting and growing your business.

As a small business owner you’ll need to expand your thinking to make sure all areas in your business are covered. The habits Trudy talks about are based on her past experiences working in senior roles and the lessons she’s learnt the hard way.

In this episode, The two tips (and their accompanying actions) that Trudy discusses are the following –

  1. Starting to think like a Chief Information Officer (CIO) and some of the key things you need to do as CIO of your business – making sure the information and organisation function properly including systems, processes data, your backup plans and backup plans to those backup plans.
  2. And last, but not least is starting to think like a Chief Technology Officer. (CTO) The CTO does the forward planning for business systems support.  This type of forward planning takes into consideration how many customers/clients the business will have at a certain date and then deciding what systems and processes  need to be in place so the business can grow without falling apart.

Trudy’s advice can help you take your business to the next level.  Make sure you invest the time and energy to develop these habits and get your business growing.  You’ll be glad you did.
