Here are her six tips to help with your next event –
Promote your event on your social media channels so whoever is following you will know about it. Even if you don’t have a big following, it’s important to put it out there and to promote it more than once.
Highlight the benefits of attending this event, including the emotional benefits.
Promote it to your mailing list, using an email sequence. The first email lets people know an event is taking place, the second email includes more details and another call to register/sign up. Once people have signed up, give them three reminders that the event is coming up.
Ask your supporters personally to re-share your post so their networks know it’s happening
Plan ahead – giving yourself enough time to promote and build excitement about the event – at least 3 weeks
Ask a partner to help you promote the event, which will increase your reach out to people who don’t know you yet, but know your promotion partner.
